Delivery Crew – Casual / On-Call
We are looking for the right candidates to join our roster of dedicated professionals looking for an exciting entrance into the Winnipeg event industry. Due to the nature of the events industry, this is a flexible, on-call position based on your availability. This position is ideal as a second part-time job or for students looking for flexible employment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely loading and unloading furniture from trucks
- On-site installation of furniture according to floor plans/client direction
- Checking cleanliness of furniture and spot-cleaning as necessary
- Punctual delivery with the ability to work under a tight deadline
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift or carry items up to 60lbs.
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Must be able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and can show initiative
- Knowledge and ability to adhere to workplace safety precautions
- Basic smartphone and computer skills
- CSA approved steel toe shoes/boots
- Experience in either the special events, hospitality or furniture moving industries
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract (30 days or newer)
- Own a reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of local venues including hotels, convention centres, loading docks, etc.
- Experience driving 26' delivery trucks (non-air break)
Job Type: Casual on-call, 0 – 30 hours a week.
Salary: $16 to $18 per hour based on experience
Salary premium: $3 per hour after midnight premium
